To remove the speaker on this 2005 Chevy
Trailblazer, I first had to remove the door
panel.
Behind the
door panel, there was this flexible foam dust
cover, and the speaker I needed to remove.
With door panel removed, I disconnected the
speaker wire connector using a flat
screwdriver to press in the lock tab. Then I
pulled the connector apart.
I used a
7mm socket to remove the three mounting
bolts around the speaker.
I had to use a flat putty knife to pry the
speaker housing off the metal door frame.

the sheet metal.
