View of metal door frame 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. After the door panel was removed,  this thin plastic dust cover blocked access to the inside of the door.

The dust cover is usually glued to the metal door frame with a thick bead of adhesive.

 

With the speaker removed, I was able to remove the dust cover.

Using a long sharp knife, I pulled the cover from the top and gradually cut the soft adhesive.

I prefer to do the top, then the two sides...
