1999 Buick Ultra Or LeSabre

Various screws are removed and then the door panel is lifted off. Electrical connectors are disconnected to separate the panel from the door.

Start:

The door panel on this 1999 Buick LeSabre/Ultra was easy to remove, once I found the fasteners.

Removing door panel heat duct, 99 Buick.

I removed the door panel heat duct with a flat screwdriver.

I just pried out the duct inlet.

Remove cover around door handle on 99 Buick Ultra.

I used a flat screwdriver to carefully pry the front part of the inside door release cover loose.

I needed to be careful because the cover has hooks on the rear part.

Then with the flat screwdriver I pried the inside door reflector/marker light from the door panel.

Using the flat screwdriver I pried up on the tab to disconnect the wires from the reflector/light.

Remove screw from door panel on Buick Ultra or LeSabre.

Then I was able to remove the Phillips screw from the panel.

At the bottom of the door pull handle I removed the cover with a small screwdriver.

I used a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws from the bottom of the pull handle.

After removing the fasteners, I found the plastic panel to be hooked onto the metal door shell.

When I pushed upward the door panel separated from the door. This exposed the wiring harness to the window and door lock switch.

To disconnect the wiring, I used a flat screwdriver to press in the tab on the wire connector...

...then I separated the wire harness.

Then the door panel was completely separated from the car.

Removing The Rear Door Panel:

Removing the rear door panel was easier than the front.

I used a small flat screwdriver to pry the cover loose from the door pull handle.

Using a Phillips screwdriver I removed the two screws from the bottom of the pull handle.

With the flat screwdriver I pried off the front of the inside door release cover.

The rear of the cover is hooked on.

I pried off the inside door reflector (or marker light) from the plastic door panel with a flat screwdriver.

To disconnect the wire from the reflector I pried up on the tab and pulled the wire out.

I used a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw behind the reflector.

I pushed the door panel up and pulled it away from the metal door shell.

With the flat screwdriver I pressed in on the wire connector release tab and separated the wire harness.

Then the door panel was completely separated from the car.
